قال المهندس سعد المهندي نائب الرئيس للمشاريع الرئيسية والمرافق بمؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع، أن مركز قطر الوطني للمؤتمرات الذي سيتم افتتاحه قريباً يعتبر واحداً من أكبر وأفضل المراكز على مستوى العالم.
وذكر في حديث لوكـالة الأنباء القـطرية /قنـا/ أن تكلفة المركز بلغت حوالي 4 مليارات و200 مليون ريال قطري واستغرق بناؤه أربع سنوات ويتسع إلى 27 ألف شخص في آن واحد. ويضم المركز إلى جانب قاعات المؤتمرات والاجتماعات قاعة معارض بمساحة 40 ألف متر مربع حيث توزعت تكلفة المركز بواقع مليارين و200 مليون ريال لمركز المؤتمرات ومليارين لمركز المعارض.
وأوضح المهندس المهندي أن قاعة الاجتماعات الرئيسية "المؤتمرات" تتسع لـ4000 شخص في أن واحد كما يوجد بالمركز مسرح متعدد الأغراض يسع حوالي 2300 شخص فضلاً عن القاعات الكبيرة الأخرى وعدد 57 قاعة منفردة للاجتماعات وقاعات ضيافة وأجنحة كبار الشخصيات ومناطق عرض خارجية.
وسيتم افتتاح مركز قطر الوطني للمؤتمرات رسمياً قبل ديسمبر المقبل ليحتضن بعدها حدثاً ضخماً وهو مؤتمر البترول العالمي العشرين في الفترة من 4 إلى 8 ديسمبر المقبل
Qatar National Convention Center Costs More than QR 4 Billion -2-
Vice President of Capital Projects and Facilities Management Eng. Saad al-Muhannadi said that Qatar currently depends totally on hotels to host conferences and meetings. The opening of Qatar National Convention Center will provide proper area and halls that are equipped modern technology to host a large number of events and conference at a time.
The QNCC uses more than 3500 square meters of solar panels, walls and ceilings that are controlled electronically. The center can be controlled by a central computer system that can change the appearance of the halls according to the event it hosts.
The solar panels in the center contribute to about 5.12 percent of the total electric energy of the building. They are accompanied by modern systems of water conservation and promote energy efficiency.
Eng. al-Muhannadi underlined that the QNCC will be one of the best centers in terms of the use of modern technology, design and quality. It is comparable to the best centers in the world.
Being located alongside elite universities, research and technology institutions in Education City, the QNCC will be a new global hub of ideas and innovation. It is only 20 minutes away from the central business district, he noted. (QNA)
